Abstract

the entry, stay and successful trajectory of Indian students in the School of Social Sciences - ESO, the State University of Amazonas- UEA, in the city of Manaus. This is qualitative study, in which were interviewed six indigenous students enrolled. Through the interviews content analysis, the highlight was the fact that these students face adverse financial situations, which affect them during the course, becoming desperiodizados. Even with all the difficulties faced to keep on the course, these students have a perspective about future job opportunities and income that the course will provide them when formed.
