Authorship Criteria

The International Journal of Medical Science and Clinical Invention (IJMSCI) follows the guidelines set by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) regarding authorship criteria. The ICMJE defines authorship as follows:

"Authorship credit should be based only on substantial contributions to each of the following:

  1. Concept and design of the study or acquisition of data or analysis and interpretation of data;
  2. Drafting the article or revising it critically for important intellectual content;
  3. Final approval of the version to be published."

According to these criteria, authorship should be limited to those individuals who have made a significant contribution to the study. The following individuals should not be listed as authors:

  • Those who have provided purely technical support
  • Those who have provided routine assistance in the laboratory or with data collection
  • Those who have provided writing assistance but have not contributed to the intellectual content of the study

The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all authors meet the authorship criteria and for ensuring that the final version of the manuscript accurately reflects the contributions of all authors. Any changes to the authorship list after submission should be approved by all authors.

By adhering to these authorship criteria, IJMSCI aims to ensure the transparency and accuracy of the scientific record and to promote responsible authorship practices in medical science and clinical invention.
